Innovative Hybrid and composite steel-concrete structural solutions for buildings in seismic area

Composite structures are widely used in building construction in seismic areas whereas hybrid solutions are less diffused and require further investigation. Contrary to commonly used composite structures, in which the deformation demands for steel and concrete components are in the same range (concrete and steel act as one member), hybrid structures allow for a more efficient design of concrete and of steel components with deformation demands tailored to the capacity of the materials.

Sustainable Mobility and Tourism in Sensitive Areas of the Alps and the Carpathians

The project ACCESS2MOUNTAIN aimed to achieve durable, environmentally friendly tourism, as well as to ensure accessibility and connection to, between and in sensitive regions of the Alps and the Carpathians. It wanted to benefit all (potential) users. With the long-term perspective of increasing sustainable tourist mobility, railway and multimodal connections have been improved and attractive offers created via pre-investment measures, pilot activities, and investments.
